The King Brinell tester has been the world wide leader for over 60 years. King Brinell hardness testers are lightweight, easy to maneuver and require only one operator which make them ideal for use as portable or bench units.
The King Brinell is designed to make impressions that are used to measure the hardness of metal. The King® Brinell Hardness Tester is a precision instrument which serves a dual purpose. It can be used as a bench-type tester or taken to the job site in almost any location. This dual role enables most users to save a considerable amount of money with their investment with this highly versatile hardness tester. The King Brinell Tester is lightweight and it requires only one person to operate. It is 100 percent reliable with precision accuracy in the field regardless of what challenging environment you may be testing in.
The King Potable Brinell Tester is versatile enough to test virtually any size and shape metal specimen but most importantly this Brinell tester is easy-to-use. The operator simply places the specimen between the anvil and the test head, cranks the test head down onto the specimen, locking the tester in place, closes the pressure release valve, and pulls the hydraulic lever until desired load is reached. The tester applies up to a 3000 kg load on a 10 mm ball, making a lasting impression, which is available for re-reading at any time. A by-pass valve is automatically activated at the calibrated load, eliminating the chance of overloading. The impression is then read and recorded by the operator using a Brinell microscope such as the deep reading microscope or a scan automatic Brinell microscope. The King portable Brinell meets all international standards for Brinell testing including ASTM E 110, British standard #240. part. 2. sect. 1 and JIS standards. The King Brinell Tester is calibrated to 1/2 of 1% of load on equipment traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).
The King portable Brinell tester comes standard with a 14 in (356 mm) vertical and 4 in (102 mm) horizontal capacity base frame. Also included is test head and gage calibrated for test loads from 0 - 3000 kg.
