PLUG AND RING GAGE MASTERS
Our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory provides complete calibration services with long form certification for all of your air, plug and ring gage needs. In order to get precise dimensional data when using air gages it requires a combination of the air gage readout instrument and the gaging member to be calibrated with one or two master gages of an exact known size. WESTport manufactures master ring gages, plug gages and master setting discs with the following standards:

  • Precision ground and hand lapped to provide superior accuracy , optimum finish and maximum wearability
  • Final inspection of gages is completed in our environmentally controlled ISO 17025 gage laboratory using electronic comparator instruments



  • Conform to gage design standard ANSI.B47.1

Master ring gages are used to set air probes, bore gages and other internal measurement instruments. Master plug gages and master setting discs are used to calibrate air rings, snap gages, and other external measurement instruments. WESTport Corporation use state of the art equipment to ensure the highest degree of measurement uncertainty. The gage calibration lab is held at 68F with relative humidity not to exceed 45%. Both temperature and humidity are closely monitored by our Honeywell environmental control unit. We also have a suspended floor to help avoid unnecessary vibration to insure that the setting master provide complete accuracy. All setting masters are calibrated in our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory with standards that are traceable to National Standards and Technology (NIST) with test methods that are compliant to ANSI/NCSL-Z540
